Built by athletes, for athletes
SpartanPods was born from a simple frustration: earbuds that couldn't keep up with real training. We're athletes who got tired of gear that falls out, dies in water, and loses connection mid-workout.
Our story began long before SPRTN. Hinson and Max grew up together, started their first business at 13 selling sodas door-to-door, and have been building together ever since. Years later at Virginia Tech, Max met Kiran in the gym, and a shared passion for engineering and athletics sparked a friendship.
When Max and Hinson had the first idea for SpartanPods, they called Kiran — who believed in the vision so strongly that he dropped everything, moved across the country to Raleigh, and slept on Max's couch so they could build full-time. As the team grew, they knew exactly who to call for world-class design: Reeves, a lifelong friend with deep industrial design and manufacturing experience.
We're not just a team — we're a unit built for this exact company. Our strengths cover each other's weaknesses, and we all share the same drive, ambition, and willingness to push through challenges together.
